Art Zone

      I'm not a great artist honestly, but I'm trying to learn! I try my best to do at least one drawing a day. I'm getting better each time and have rarely been more proud of myself.

      This mostly came about because I wanted to make games and stuff but obviously being indie means I don't have a lot of extra cash sitting around to pay for artists just for what might be silly projects that amount to nothing. Second, and it's related to the first, is I want to fight back against this wave of Ai “art” and the people pushing it so hard. I've used these programs, so far exclusively for role playing games and memes, but as time goes on I've become more cynical about these models. I do think there are good and ethical ways of using this technology. I do thing artists could see the most benefit out of these new technologies if done right. I don't see companies or unimaginative people being able to implement these things in a way that doesn't just hurt people.

      If you are the type of person who believe that Ai “democratizes” art, then I hope this site will server as some level of proof that you can learn to make art. You can develop skills and passions. Art has always been freely available, but especially so since you've been born. You're not an 18th century peasant. You have the ability, you either lack motivation or courage. Maybe both. Sadly everyone tends to develop taste before skill, but I promise you can do it if you really want to!
